Love this sailing charter, lovely live on board life, tasty locally sourced fresh produce and seafood and great locations, beautiful little islands, plenty of sun, swimming, snorkling, kayaking, fishing and lounging on deck sipping frosty beverages.
Maki Cat is a 13.4m Woods Cat refurbished in 2013 with a total refit. She has 2x60HP Volvo Penta diesel engines, she stores 800 litres fresh water and has a water maker producing 380 litres of fresh water per hour. She has two double en-suite forward cabins, one midships/twin and a stern double/twin cabin both sharing a bathroom. There is a large saloon/dining area that seats 8 people at meals where cheerful interaction goes on with the friendly crew in the galley. All cabins and the saloon area are equipped with fans.
Maki’s exterior has plenty of space on the stern deck for dive preparations, a fly deck for fishing, shaded seating in the cockpit and plenty more shaded and sunny areas on the forward decks.
Vitaly important are the many fridge/freezers on board assuring you of ice and frosty drinks at all times.
Maki can comfortably sleep 8 people and is perfectly designed for the more serious fishing charters. Her speciality however is as the only liveaboard dive boat in Nosy Be boasting a Bauer Capitano compressor, weights and tanks and a very well experienced skipper/dive guide. Liveaboard dive charters allow divers to visit the more distant and rarely explored dive sites.
The time I spent on Maki was with a group of 8 people and I was impressed by the spaciousness and never felt crowded.
Other onboard equipment includes music station, double kayak, snorkel gear, fishing tackle, deck shower and BBQ.
Pricing starts at Euro POR per person per day and reaches Euro POR per person per day and includes all meals, excursions and activities (diving and specialised fishing excluded)
For a 7 night package excluding airfares but including 6 nights on Maki Cat, one night at Sangany Lodge with dinner, breakfast, a massage and return airport transfers, prices vary from Euro POR – Euro POR per person.
DIVING – weights and tanks incl. Hire of BC and Regulator @ €POR euro per person per
day – MUST be paid for in advance.
All liveaboard dive charters are accompanied by a fully qualified dive guide.

Maximum 2 dives daily; minimum of 3 divers; and a maximum of 6 divers per dive

FISHING – For the more serious fisherman there is an option to stock extra fuel @ Euro POA per day or to hire a sports fisher @ Euro POR for one day or Euro POR per day for two days or more. For Castor bank an additional Euro POR is required.
